What does it take to tell a story?
It’s a give and a take dance of understanding, a whole lot of emails, phone calls, and eventually we’ll even meet over coffee. Most importantly though, its conversation. We learn from our partners, and strive to make our mission fulfill their purpose.
To us, a partnership means a first step in success. You’re not just a client to us. We want to work with partners. Corporations, nonprofits, mom and pop shops and tourism enthusiasts, whose purpose is to do good in their communities and the world.
The University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College is home to one of the best journalism schools in the nation. Since 2018, Cottage Creative has been proud partner, helping to provide advertising, fundraising and recruiting assets. We’ve been able to help Merrill improve their engagement and opportunities across multiple metrics.
We have focused on making the most of every opportunity on campus. The focus has enabled Cottage Creative to produce multiple assets for fewer production days on campus. And, with a library of evergreen footage, we’ve been able to help Merrill communicate through COVID, and maintain efforts in recruiting and scholarship programs.
We look forward to more with the college every day.
Adapting in 2020 wasn’t unique, it simply was a necessity. Cottage Creative approached Visit Annapolis to give back to the community that raised the Cottage. Taking an evening to film Dining Under the Stars, Cottage Creative put together a pitch video that led to a full digital and theatrical ad campaign.
Understanding we were moving with an unpredictable, and changing bar, Cottage Creative took Visit Annapolis’ directive to capture the spirit of the city to heart. Over the course of two weeks, we captured various scenes all adding up to a broad view of what the town was like during its first COVID summer.
The result was a series of curated highlights surrounding Annapolis’ history, water-accessibility, and one of a kind dining culture. We compiled the short videos, produced for social media, into a one-minute piece edited for theatric release.
Doctors and dentists aren’t a dime a dozen, but there are a lot that pop up when googled. When you’re offering what seems like an intangible edge, how do you set your practice apart?
For Bay Hills Family dentistry, we provided videos for their website, and other digital marketing, offering a chance for viewers to meet the people who make the practice special. Meeting Dr Bao and Dr Gens before new patience walk in the door, helps to make them chair feel as though its a friend they’re seeing.
With Bay Hills, Cottage Creative is building library of content to make future videos in a more cost effective manner. And, with the assets in hand, Cottage Creative has designed custom social media posts using quotes from interviews we’ve already conducted. This library allows for Bay Hills to operate with a nimble, quality digital presence.
Stanley Black & Decker
Stanley Black & Decker is an inspirational brand, an entity recognized as trustworthy, tough and dedicated to its clients and customers.
We were approached to help brand a new operations division, and took the challenge immediately. Using the bold feel and recognizable colors of SBD, we focused on the new division’s goals, and set out to develop a logo and unit reveal video to be released at a global company event.
Cottage Creative is lucky to work with different of units within SBD, providing graphic work, support video, and everything in-between.
